My master’s thesis explores the influence of MS Teams on the transformation of organizational culture. This study investigates how MS Teams can alter the cultural dynamics of an organization, influencing how employees engage, share knowledge, and collaborate among themselves. By analyzing this shift, the research aims to provide meaningful guidance for practitioners on how virtual collaboration tools like MS Teams can impede or facilitate cultural transformation within their organizations.
Relevance
The topic of my master’s thesis is considerably crucial for practitioners, especially in today’s digital age where virtual collaboration tools like MS Teams and home offices are becoming more popular. Managers and leaders must understand how important these technological communication tools are, as they can both hinder and foster cultural transformation within their organizations.
Results
My research has revealed that incorporating MS Teams in the organization significantly improves collaboration among team members and facilitates remote work. Additionally, MS Teams contribute to flattening organizational hierarchies by offering a transparent platform for equal communication among team members, regardless of their positions or roles.However, MS Teams does have its drawbacks as well, such as an excessive number of notifications, which can disrupt work and lead to a loss of face-to-face interaction among team members.

Methods
In my master’s Thesis. I employed the qualitative method approach. The sub-structure interviews were conducted within Coop Retailer Switzerland. The data were analyzed in a thematic framework and the findings of this analysis did help me to conclude the relationship between organizational culture and MS Teams.
Incorporating digital tools like MS Teams into organizational workflows can benefit cultural transformation by encouraging innovation and boosting employee engagement. Recognizing and utilizing the potential of this technology to shape organizational culture is essential for companies aiming to navigate the changing work landscape
